Men’s Golf this week (10th August 2026)
Saturday, August the 22nd we will be holding this year’s AmAm (a mixed team competition on the Ashludie.
Sign-up sheets have been placed on the notice boards. Please sign up as this is always a good afternoon.
NB there will be No men’s individual Sweepie on the Ashludie on the day (22nd August).
Verification of scores …
As per previous messages, please ensure that as a reminder to all submitting scores (for Competitions, Sweepies and General Play)
How Did I Do / ClubV1 has been upgraded and scores need to be verified by your marker for Sweepies and General Play.NB The old App no longer works, so please don’t try using that to update scores.
If your marker is not a MGC member or does not have the new App, then please input your score using App, terminal or website and then submit your card signed, dated, etc in the box in the back bar.
All Sweepie admin is now becoming delayed as I’m needing to contact markers and golfers to get their scores verified.
For General Play Rounds, I would suggest using the Scottish Golf App as this registers your score much easier as the verification is done through them (it works better than HDID). However, if you are submitting cards in the box to verify, then please complete the card completely indicating which tees you have played from!
Finally, Reminder that all Male golfers need to have submitted at least 5 cards (during the 2026 summer season) to be eligible for next year’s match plays (this is for all match play formats singles, pairs or mixed pairs).
Forward Planning
The Medal course will be closed again Wednesday 26th – Saturday 28th August for the Super Seniors International Masters. There will only be a Sweepie on the Ludie on the 26th.
